Sambucus nigra ‘Laciniata’, known as Cutleaf or Fernleaf Elderberry, is an ornamental deciduous shrub admired for its finely divided, lacy green foliage. In spring to early summer, it produces clusters of creamy-white flowers followed by dark purple berries. Hardy and fast-growing, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and adds dramatic texture and contrast to mixed borders, wildlife gardens, and landscape plantings.
